21st Annual Korean Festival

Get ready for a full day of delicious food, music, dance, and family fun as the Korean Festival returns for its 21st year. Hosted by the Korean Festival Foundation, this vibrant event brings a taste of Korea to Honolulu and celebrates the island's multicultural spirit.
The event is packed with flavorful Korean eats, nonstop stage entertainment, and cultural activities for all ages. There’s also free parking at Honolulu Hale and surrounding lots, making it easy to attend.

- Jegichagi: Kick the jegi (like a feathered shuttlecock) at least five times within a set time to win a prize

One of the most respected tattoo expos in the world returns to Honolulu. The Pacific Ink & Art Expo features artists from all over the globe, showcasing traditional and modern tattooing techniques.
This culture-forward event also includes live music, hula performances, and cultural demos rooted in the Polynesian heritage of tattooing. Whether you're inked or just curious, it's a one-of-a-kind artistic experience.
84th Annual Nā Hula Festival

Relax under the trees at Kapi‘olani Park while enjoying graceful hula performances from local hālau. This free event is the longest-running, non-competitive hula festival in Hawai‘i, first held in 1940.
Highlights include the Royal Hawaiian Band, hula performances throughout the day, and an appearance by the 2025 Lei Queen and Princesses. Bring a hāliʻi (mat or covering), some snacks, and soak in the mana of the moment.
31st Annual Made in Hawai‘i Festival

The Return of Kapaemahu – New Weekly Hula Show

Experience the magic of hula in the place where it all began. "The Return of Kapaemahu" is a free weekly performance located under the banyan tree at Kūhiō Beach, just steps from the legendary healer stones.
Directed by MacArthur Genius Grant recipient Kumu Hula Patrick Makuakāne, this show tells the story of the four mysterious healers of Waikīkī through music and movement.
With a talented cast and stunning costumes, this is a powerful, moving production that blends history, culture, and aloha.
Duke Kahanamoku OceanFest & Opening Ceremony
- August 15 to 24

The spirit of aloha meets athletic excellence at this annual celebration honoring Duke Paoa Kahanamoku, the legendary waterman and Olympic gold medalist. The Opening Ceremony takes place on August 15, featuring hula dancers, traditional Hawaiian music, and a lei-draping ceremony at the Duke statue.

43rd Annual Okinawan Festival
- August 30 - 31, Saturday to Sunday

Celebrate Okinawan heritage at this annual ethnic Festival in Hawaii. Enjoy ono (delicious) food, taiko drum performances, traditional dance, and a lively atmosphere that honors Uchinanchu culture.
